News for the Week of July 26 - Aug. 1
July 25, 2006
Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales
The number is 1853. Summer readers recorded 1853 books on their reading logs. From pictures books for family reading to chapter books for young adults, forty participants listed this many books for the eight weeks of the official reading program. Many other youngsters attended a program and read books, but were not able to record their accomplishments on the official log. The staff of the library, DesiRae, Stephanie, Brice, Jennifer and Sharon congratulate all the readers, thank the parents, and encourage you to keep going!
First Art Show
Greg Cooksey and his “Images of Kansas and other Selected Photographs” open at the library August 11th. This will be the first art show for our expanded library and we look forward to using our display areas in this way.
